Havelock to Port Blair Ferry

The return leg of the most popular Andaman route runs from Havelock Jetty back to Port Blair. Three operators sell it through our feed -- Makruzz, Nautika and Green Ocean -- and from October there are five departures a day, at 08:00, 14:00, 15:45 (two of them) and 16:00. A direct crossing is 90 minutes on Makruzz and Nautika and 135 on Green Ocean; nothing we checked on 2 September 2026 fell between the two. If you are travelling before 15 September 2026, budget higher than the fare band above suggests: Green Ocean sets the ₹1,050 floor on this sector and is not sailing it until then, so the cheapest seat on the dates we checked to 14 September is ₹1,450. The one thing to watch is September, when a Makruzz 10:00 and a Nautika 09:25 are routed via Neil (Shaheed Dweep) and take 150 and 145 minutes -- both disappear from the timetable in October. Private sailings normally arrive at Haddo Jetty (check your ticket, since Phoenix Bay is occasionally used as backup).

Before you sail

For a same-day onward flight, the 08:00 Makruzz is the only real option from October -- it lands at Haddo at 09:30. The next departure is not until 14:00, arriving 15:30.

Weekend afternoon sailings fill up fast; book as soon as your Havelock dates are fixed.

On the October timetable three of the five daily departures leave between 15:45 and 16:00, so the afternoon is crowded and the middle of the day is empty. September is the same story with fewer boats: a 15:30 and a 15:45, and nothing at all between the late-morning via-Neil services and them. Plan your last Havelock morning around that.

Havelock Island to Port Blair ferry -- common questions

90 minutes on Makruzz and Nautika, and 135 minutes on Green Ocean. Checked on 2 September 2026 across nine dates from September to February: every direct sailing was one of those two figures, with nothing in between. The exception is September, when a Makruzz 10:00 and a Nautika 09:25 run via Neil (Shaheed Dweep) at 150 and 145 minutes. Neither is in the timetable from October.
16:00, a Makruzz arriving Port Blair at 17:30, on every date we checked from 8 October onward. Nautika and Green Ocean both depart at 15:45 just ahead of it. In September the last departure is 15:45, and whether that is one sailing or two depends on the date: a lone Nautika to 14 September, joined by a Green Ocean from 15 September. A Makruzz leaves at 15:30 just before it. Confirm your own date in the live panel -- this is the sector’s busiest slot and it is where sailings sell out first.
Only on the 08:00, which lands at 09:30 and leaves room for an afternoon flight. There is one morning departure a day from October and nothing else before 14:00, so if it is full or cancelled there is no later sailing that gets you to the airport in time. In September the morning options are the via-Neil services, which arrive 11:50 and 12:30 rather than 09:30. Never book a same-day early-morning flight against a same-day ferry.
Five from 1 October -- Makruzz three, Nautika one, Green Ocean one -- on every date sampled from 1 October 2026 to 18 February 2027. September steps up mid-month exactly as the outbound leg does: four a day to 14 September, then five from 15 September, the extra one being a Green Ocean 15:45 returning to the sector. Checked 3 September 2026 on 6, 14, 15, 22 and 30 September. September is also shaped differently, with the morning slots taken by the via-Neil services rather than a direct 08:00. Monsoon months carry a higher chance of a weather cancellation, so keep a buffer day on your return.
