Every sailing on this sector is direct -- roughly 22 nautical miles, and on 2 September 2026 not one of the 53 sailings we checked was routed via Havelock. How long it takes depends entirely on which operator you pick: Makruzz is scheduled at 60 minutes, Nautika at 75 and Green Ocean at 105, and each is consistent on every sailing. From October there are up to eight departures a day between 09:30 and 16:15. Nothing leaves Neil before 09:30, and the earliest arrival into Port Blair on any sailing we checked was 10:45. A same-morning flight does not work from here -- keep at least 4 hours after the scheduled arrival.

This leg is better served than the Havelock → Port Blair one, not worse: eight departures a day from October against five, checked 2 September 2026. September is the thin month here -- two a day until the 14th, four from the 15th, and all of them between 10:35 and 11:30.

That is the earliest departure on any of the nine dates we checked on 2 September 2026, and there is nothing before it -- if you have read about a 7 or 8 AM ferry off Neil, it is not in the live schedule. The last departure is 16:15. September is different again and worth planning around: the earliest is 10:35 and the last is 11:30, checked 3 September 2026 on 6, 14, 15, 22 and 30 September -- the whole day’s service off Neil fits inside those 55 minutes.
Direct, all of them. Checked on 2 September 2026 across nine dates from September to February: 53 sailings, and not one of them was flagged as routed via Havelock. Crossing time is down to the operator rather than the routing -- Makruzz 60 minutes, Nautika 75, Green Ocean 105. Worth knowing because the reverse sector, Port Blair to Neil, is the opposite: there the only ticket on sale goes via Havelock.

September is much thinner, and it steps up rather than building gradually: re-checked on 3 September 2026, two a day on both 6 and 14 September (Nautika 10:35, Makruzz 11:30) and four on all of 15, 22 and 30 September, the extra pair being Green Ocean at 11:00 and 11:15. The cheapest seat steps with them, from ₹1,750 before 15 September to ₹1,050 after, because Green Ocean is the operator that sets the low.
