About this jetty

Neil Island Jetty -- at a glance

Neil Island Jetty -- officially Shaheed Dweep Jetty after the 2018 renaming -- is the sole entry and exit point for the island. The jetty is small and quiet compared to Haddo in Port Blair or Havelock, with a single covered waiting area and a few ticket counters.

Neil Island is the smallest of the three commonly-visited islands and the jetty reflects that. Most days see two or three private ferry calls, plus the DSS government inter-island ferry. Outside the brief arrival and departure windows, the area is peaceful.

The jetty is a short walk from Bharatpur Beach -- one of Neil's main snorkelling spots -- and a 1.5 km auto-rickshaw ride from the Neil Kendra market and most of the guesthouses. Mobile signal is patchy across the island, so download your ticket and offline maps before arrival.
