Phoenix Bay Jetty

Phoenix Bay Jetty (officially the Phoenix Bay Inter-Island Jetty) sits on the eastern waterfront of Port Blair, a short auto-rickshaw or taxi ride from Aberdeen Bazaar and the Clock Tower. It is the primary terminal for DSS government ferries to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) and Shaheed Dweep (Neil Island).

Private high-speed ferries -- Makruzz, Nautika, Green Ocean and ITT Majestic -- typically board from Haddo Jetty, roughly 3 km away on the north-west side of the city. Phoenix Bay is occasionally used as a backup boarding point for private sailings when Haddo is congested or under maintenance, so passengers should always read the jetty mentioned on their ticket rather than assume.

The terminal has covered waiting areas, the DSS counter for walk-up tickets, restrooms and basic refreshment kiosks. DSS rules require passengers to report at least 2 hours before sailing; gates close 30 minutes prior to departure.

• Phoenix Bay handles inter-island government sailings. For Long Island, Diglipur, Little Andaman, Nicobar or mainland sectors, report at Haddo Wharf instead.
• Auto-rickshaws from Aberdeen Bazaar charge around ₹50 to ₹80; pre-paid taxis from the airport are ₹300 to ₹400.
