On all 79 direct sailings checked on 1 September 2026, Makruzz and Nautika were scheduled at 90 minutes without exception and Green Ocean at 120 or 135. DSS government ferries take 2.5 to 3 hours. One exception worth knowing: the Makruzz Pearl 05:45 departure is a via-Baratang package that reaches Havelock at 13:30, not a 90-minute crossing -- the live panel badges it as such.

Re-checked on 3 September 2026 across 35 dates: bookable fares run from ₹1,050 per adult in the cheapest class (Green Ocean 1 Economy) to ₹4,450 for Makruzz Pearl Premium. One thing to know if you are travelling in the next fortnight: Green Ocean, the operator that sets the ₹1,050 floor, is not on this sector until 15 September 2026, so on every date from 5 to 14 September the cheapest seat on sale is ₹1,500. From 15 September the floor returns to ₹1,050 and stays there on every later date we checked. Fares move with date, operator and class, so treat that as the shape of the market rather than a quote -- the live panel on this page is what you will actually pay. Child and infant policies vary by operator: Makruzz, for example, usually treats children above age 2 as chargeable and charges an infant fee. Do verify the exact child/infant rule with the operator at booking.

It depends which side of 15 September and 1 October you travel, and the difference is large. Checked on 11 September 2026 by querying every date from 14 to 30 September plus 1 October directly: five a day to 14 September (three Nautika, two Makruzz, 07:30 to 13:00), seven a day from 15 straight through to 30 September as Green Ocean's first vessel (Green Ocean 1) sails twice that day (two Green Ocean, three Nautika, two Makruzz, 06:30 to 13:15), and thirteen a day from 1 October (six Makruzz, four Nautika, three Green Ocean, 06:00 to 14:00), which held on every date sampled through to 18 February 2027. Green Ocean's second vessel does not join in September at all -- it first appears on 1 October, folded into the wider ramp-up rather than a mid-month step of its own. This answer previously said the step to eight landed on 15 September, then 16 September, then a second Green-Ocean-vessel step on 25 September; all three were wrong. This is the third correction to this fact, each time from querying more of the run rather than just a boundary -- treat a near-term schedule claim as provisional until the date is about a week out.

Makruzz is widely rated the most reliable with the cleanest cabins, and it runs the most sailings here at six a day; Nautika is the newest and is scheduled at the same 90 minutes; Green Ocean is the most affordable and takes 120 to 135 minutes. Same-day tickets are possible only if seats remain, which is rare in peak season. Always book online at least a day or two in advance.
